SARAJEVO, February 7 (FENA) - Minister of Human Rights and Refugees of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Sevlid Hurtić, on the occasion of the devastating earthquake that hit the Republic of Turkey, visited the ambassador of that country to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Sadik Babur Girgin, with whom he discussed the planned assistance to the Turkish people after the earthquake.
Minister Hurtić signed the book of condolence at the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey and presented Ambassador Girgin with a letter of condolence regarding the earthquake that hit that country.
Ambassador Girgin informed the minister in detail about the extent of the consequences of the earthquake, the number of dead and injured, and the material damage suffered.
He emphasized that Turkey is undertaking extensive activities to find the missing and mitigate the damage.
Hurtić emphasized that Bosnia and Herzegovina strongly stands by its Turkish friends in these difficult times and that competent institutions at all levels of government will offer and provide assistance to the Turkish people.
Numerous organizations in Bosnia and Herzegovina, he added, are already conducting campaigns to collect and send aid to Turkey, which will continue in the coming period.
Minister Hurtić thanked the Republic of Turkey for all the help it has provided to our country in the past 30 years, which significantly contributed to the reconstruction and recovery of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
He also thanked for the numerous realized projects and investments, as well as the strong support of BiH in multilateral organizations and the fulfillment of foreign policy priorities, stated the Ministry of Human Rights and Refugees of BiH.
