BRČKO, March 15 (FENA) - Deputies of the Brčko District Assembly elected Zijad Nišić from the Party for Bosnia and Herzegovina as the new mayor of the Brčko District.
Twenty-three members of the Assembly voted for his appointment, six abstained, while there were no votes against it.
After voting, Nišić took a solemn oath before the members of the District Assembly.
At the beginning of the extraordinary session, the deputies of the Assembly dismissed the former mayor, Esed Kadrić (SDA), from his duty and thus that party is now in the opposition in the District Assembly.
