HR Schmidt visits the Rajlovac Barracks of the BiH Armed Forces

SARAJEVO, March 24 (FENA) - The Deputy Minister of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina for Policy and Plans, Slaven Galić, today received the High Representative of the international community in BiH, Christian Schmidt,at the "Rajlovac" Barracks of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

High Representative Schmidt wanted to visit this barracks as the location where the largest number of members of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina operate.

He particularly recalled the period when he was the Deputy Minister of Defense of the Federal Republic of Germany and when the German contingent of international peacekeeping forces in Bosnia and Herzegovina handed over the "Rajlovac" Barracks to the management of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Deputy Minister Galić and High Representative Schmidt visited the military clinic and the School of Foreign Languages of the BiH Armed Forces in Rajlovac.

Their main host was the site commander Brigadier Jasmin Čajić.

The High Representative was interested in the living and working conditions in the barracks, the capacities and available resources of the military clinic and the School of Foreign Languages.

Schmidt particularly pointed out that it is important for every army to have all the necessary resources for work and emphasized the importance of education of the armed forces personnel.

He also attended the German language class, where he talked with the course participants.
