Minister Hurtić visits USC and the temporary reception center Lipa

SARAJEVO, March 29 (FENA) - Minister of Human Rights and Refugees of Bosnia and Herzegovina Sevlid Hurtić held a meeting with the Prime Minister of the Una-Sana Canton (USC) Mustafa Ružnić, Speaker of the Assembly Jasmin Musić and the Mayor of Bihać Elvedin Sedić.

 

 

Hurtić informed the interlocutors about the future projects and activities of the Ministry of Human Rights and Refugees of Bosnia and Herzegovina, highlighting grants related to infrastructure and the Roma population.

The Ministry of Human Rights and Refugees stated that the officials also discussed the continuation of solving the housing problem of displaced persons through the implementation of the State Housing Project within the framework of the Regional Housing Program and the CEB II project.

The interlocutors paid special attention to the migrant situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina with a focus on the Una-Sana Canton in the context of guaranteeing human rights for people on the move. The importance of strengthening the migration management system through the coordination of competent state institutions was emphasized, and the hosts informed the minister about the problems that this canton and the city were facing and are currently facing in terms of migrants.

During the day, Minister Hurtić also visited the temporary reception center Lipa, where more than 180 migrants are housed.
