SARAJEVO, March 31 (FENA) - Instead of the promised reform laws, the fulfillment of key priorities from the Opinion of the European Commission and other decisions from which citizens will benefit, the first concrete move of the coalition of the Three parties and their partners the SNSD and the HDZ BiH in this mandate was to increase of their already too high salaries, said the chairman of the club of MPs of the Party of Democratic Action in the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Šerif Špago.
In a press release, Špago points out that with the adoption of the Budget for 2023 and the rejection of the BiH Presidency's proposal, it became clear why the ruling majority procrastinated for three months and avoided adopting the Proposal for Amendments to the Law on Salaries and Remunerations in the Institutions of BiH, which was submitted to the procedure by the SDA caucus which would prevent an enormous increase in the salaries of the highest paid officials.
"Unlike the temporary abolition of excise tax, the reduction of VAT or the continuation of the NATO path, which the ruling majority unanimously pushed aside, they did not miss the opportunity to increase their salaries by about 600 KM.
Therefore, the statements of the representatives of the SDP, People and Justice and Our Party that their policy of unilateral concessions to the SNSD and the HDZ, which they call a compromise, has been paying off and giving results, really sound hypocritical, considering that such a policy has only paid off for a few party leaders and people closest to them," Špago said.
