SARAJEVO, April 3 (FENA) - The celebration of the victory of Jakov Milatović from the Europe Now movement in yesterday's election showed that, first of all, those parts of society and the Montenegrin political scene who are much closer to the idea of a Serbian world or formal integration with Serbia rather than the continuation of the construction and consolidation of the state of Montenegro, said Sead Turčalo, an expert in international relations, dean of the Faculty of Political Sciences in Sarajevo, in a statement for FENA.

- If we were to conclude on the basis of the first address, we could even conclude that the new president of Montenegro will focus on overcoming polarization in Montenegrin society. However, drawing conclusions about his policy and practice as a future teacher based on that address would be decontextualized - says professor Turčalo.

In his words, the context tells us that Jakov Milatović was born by the government "formed by the Serbian Orthodox Church in the Ostrog monastery" and that he is a product of the "apostolic democracy" of the leader of the SPC and the government of Zdravko Krivokapić.

- We will be able to see a clearer direction of Montenegro's movement after the parliamentary elections in June. Then we will see which political structures will be taken over by the security, defense and justice sectors, which are key elements of de facto statehood, and accordingly we will know whether we will have a new phenomenon of a "frozen member" of NATO within the framework of the Serbian world as a newly emerging geopolitical architecture in the Western Balkans - concluded Turčalo.

According to preliminary results, the new president of Montenegro will be Jakov Milatović from the Europe Now movement. He won 60.2 percent of the votes against Milo Đukanović's 39.8. Milatović defeated Đukanović (DPS), who has been at the head of Montenegro through the positions of president and prime minister since 1991.
