A Memorandum of Cooperation signed between FTC BiH and Azerbaijan's Chamber of Commerce

SARAJEVO, April 12 (FENA) - President of the Foreign Trade Chamber of BiH (FTC BiH) Zdravko Marinković spoke today in Sarajevo with the Minister of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mikayil Jabbarov about economic cooperation between the two countries and possibilities for its improvement.

 

They jointly concluded that the trade exchange is not at an enviable level, and that BiH companies could take advantage of business opportunities in the fields of construction, pharmaceuticals, IT and textile industry, following the example of neighboring countries - Montenegro, Serbia and Croatia.

A memorandum of cooperation was signed today between FTC BiH and the Chamber of Commerce of Azerbaijan by President Marinković on behalf of the Chamber, and by Minister Jabbarov on behalf of the Chamber of Commerce of Azerbaijan.

The memorandum will enable the institutional cooperation of these chambers, all with the aim of improving economic cooperation.

In the period from 2018-2022. total imports from Azerbaijan amounted to 6,303,758 KM, and exports was 3,864,002 KM, and the import-export ratio was 61.3 percent. Import from Azerbaijan was negligible until 2022.
