Bošnjak - Hartman: BiH and Austria ready for new joint projects

SARAJEVO, April 26 (FENA) - The Minister of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dubravka Bošnjak, met in Sarajevo with the Ambassador of Austria to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ulrike Hartmann, with whom she discussed the possibilities for continued successful cooperation.

In the conversation, the importance of the KulturKontakt Office, and now also the Austrian Agency for Education and Internationalization (OEAD), which operate in Bosnia and Herzegovina thanks to the Protocol between the Minister of Civil Affairs of BiH and the Federal Minister for Education, Science and Culture of the Republic of Austria on cooperation in the field of education was noted.

For more than 20 years, substantial cooperation between the Republic of Austria and Bosnia and Herzegovina in the field of education and training has been going on. Intensive activities in higher education, which are realized through the Austrian Development Agency, have now been extended to professional education and training, with the activities of the Austrian Agency for Education and Internationalization (OEAD).

In cooperation with the competent educational authorities and with the technical assistance of the Austrian Agency for Education and Internationalization, the Ministry of Civil Affairs prepared a new strategic document "Improving the quality and importance of vocational education and training in Bosnia and Herzegovina - based on the Conclusions from Riga - for the period 2021-2030", which the European Commission rated highly. OEAD continued to support the implementation of this document.

The Bosniak expressed her desire to continue cooperation in education, and further projects could be in the area of quality assurance in higher education, as well as help in the development of the qualification framework in Bosnia and Herzegovina according to the European Qualification Framework for Lifelong Learning.

Hartmann agreed that the cooperation in the past period was extremely successful and said that her country is ready for new joint projects between the two countries, the Ministry of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina announced.
