At present, we have 7 member companies including China Energy Engineering Group Co., Ltd.(ENERGY CHINA), China State Construction Engineering Corporation Ltd, Power Construction Corporation of China (POWERCHINA), Shandong Hi-Speed Group Co., Ltd., China Sinopharm International Cooperation, Dongfang Electric Corporation (DEC) and Huawei Technologies Bosnia and Herzegovina.

As the Association stated, there were many reasons to form the association, especially since Chinese companies have a lot to offer to the local market. Firstly, the intention of the establishment of the association is to serve Chinese enterprises that operate legally in Bosnia and Herzegovina in order to enhance contacts and exchanges between enterprises themselves.

"Secondly, the association will safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of members and guide and coordinate the legal operation and fair competition of Chinese enterprises.  Also, one of the reasons is to enhance mutual understanding and communication between Chinese enterprises and Bosnia and Herzegovina business sectors, hence promoting economic and trade cooperation between China and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Simply said, the association is formed in order to be more efficient and provide more value to the local market," the Association said.

When it comes to the experience, the experience of different member companies has all been unique, but of course, all of us are well aware of the complicated administrative structure and procedures of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

"Our members operate all over the world, and the procedures are indeed sometimes more complicated than in other markets, but the procedures are there to be followed. On the other hand, we are very pleased to say that we have experienced an open and fair business environment in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and we are looking forward to continuing successful cooperation with local partners in the future. Generally speaking, Chinese companies are here to provide value to our customers and we have managed to do that successfully, so our experience regarding this cooperation is very positive," they stated.

From the association point of view, we can say that our members have already widely undertaken infrastructure construction projects in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and it is well known that Chinese enterprises are capable of providing integrated solutions for investment, design, construction and operation, especially in the fields of infrastructure, energy and power.

"Until now, the members of the association worked together with local partners in order to bring value to the local customers and improve the local market situation, and there are multiple great examples of this business cooperation. On the other hand, what is important to mention is that the members put great effort into sharing their knowledge and experience with local young talents since we believe that the market throughout all industries must have a strong local base. Hence, projects such as Huawei Seeds for the Future, where Huawei cooperates with local universities in shaping the future industry experts, are a great example of the responsible behavior of a global industry leader, and the association strongly supports such activities," the China Enterprises Chamber of Commerce pointed out.

In the future, CECCB will grow into an important platform for economic and trade exchange and cooperation between China and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

"CECCB, representing Chinese enterprises in Bosnia and Herzegovina, hopes to work together with the government departments and local enterprises in Bosnia and Herzegovina, hence promoting economic development of the local society, mitigating the pressure on employment and energy supply, and achieving win-win situations. Also, it is important to point out that Bosnia and Herzegovina is one of the countries (more than 100 countries and 30 international organizations signed the Belt and Road documents) actively participating in the „Belt and Road Initiative“, hence there are many opportunities for mutual economical benefits. Members of the association are world-known companies with huge experience and knowledge, and we hope that the communication and cooperation between enterprises from the two countries could achieve new heights in the future," the Association said.
