SARAJEVO, May 18 (FENA) - The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Elmedin Konaković, said that the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina adopted two very important documents from the ministry's portfolio today.
He said that they accepted the addendum to the Agreement between the Council of Ministers of BiH and the Government of the Republic of Croatia on the maintenance and reconstruction of road bridges on the state border and authorized the Minister of Transport and Communications to sign it.
- Another very important piece of information is that we sent for ratification the decision to accept the signed Agreement on financing the annual action plan in support of the energy support package for the Western Balkans. That is the 70 million euros that are operational, going towards ratification - said Minister Konaković.
To a journalist's question regarding the Draft Law on Foreign Affairs of BiH, which was established at the last session of the Council of Ministers of BiH, and the remarks that followed from the RS, he said that this document is not the exclusive competence of the Minister of Foreign Affairs.
- The Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina is responsible for the foreign policy of Bosnia and Herzegovina. We took over that part in part of our competences. This law regulates our functioning more technically or organizationally. It does not encroach on, nor is it against the Constitution, the laws, or the BiH Foreign Policy Strategy - Minister Konaković said.
He announced that, not only with the representatives from the RS, but with all the representatives, he will hold talks, consultations and will lobby for that document to "see the light of day" because, as he says, he has seen how difficult it is to organize the foreign affairs segment within the Ministry. because they absolutely need some things.
- I heard the remarks. I am glad that my colleagues at the BiH Council of Ministers supported me. I will continue to lobby for this and all other documents - said Konaković.
Asked whether he is ready for the remarks from the RS to be corrected and refined in the amendment phase, he replied that everything that is not contrary to the Constitution of BiH, the laws of this country, everything that further improves the functioning, protects the work of every ambassador of BiH, every consul, every employee, makes them functional, they will also accept proposals from the RS and from any part of BiH, any representative, NGOs, etc.
- I invite everyone to participate together with us in this public debate, to create a good document that does not have any ethnic nature, but has a Bosnian, essential one and brings good to all citizens - Minister Konaković said.
Commenting on the arrest of BiH ambassador to Malaysia Senaid Memić, for the criminal offense of abuse of position or authority, when he was the mayor of the municipality of Ilidža, Minister Konaković said that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reacted immediately to ensure the normal functioning of BiH embassies in that country.
