SARAJEVO, June 6 (FENA) - Today in Sarajevo, the US Agency for International Development (USAID) presented a new system for issuing electronic building permits, whose application should soon begin in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

It was pointed out on this occasion that the functionality of the new digital system completely changes the complicated practice of issuing building permits.

Director of the USAID Mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Courtney Chubb, signed the memorandums of understanding with Tešanj Municipality Mayor Suad Huskić and Centar Sarajevo Municipality Mayor Srđan Mandić, i.e. municipalities pioneers of electronic building permits.

Chubb stated that in addition to functionality, the new system will also improve the transparency of the entire process, which will benefit citizens, business entities and institutions that issue permits.

Huskić and Mandić expressed hope that the system will deliver the results expected from it and thanked that their municipalities were chosen to be the first in which it will be implemented.

The system was developed within the framework of the five-year USAID project "E-governance", which aims to increase the transparent and efficient process of providing public services through the digitization of BiH.
