SARAJEVO, June 9 (FENA) - No archive in the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina currently has the capacity to receive any large archival materials such as those created during the work of the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY), noted in an interview with FENA on the occasion of the 9 June, the International Day of Archives, Director of the Sarajevo Historical Archives Ismeta Džigal-Berkovac.

In order for archival institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina to do something like this, first of all, a framework agreement must be made at the state level on who will take over and how they will take over.

We would have to come up with a plan to take over the archival materials, and only then see if we have the storage capacities. I believe that none of the archives in the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina can take over this kind of voluminous archival material in the framework in which we are currently working.

We are in charge of archival material that was created in the area of Sarajevo Canton. We already have some registries that are waiting, and Prime Minister of the SC Nihad UK and Minister of Culture and Sports Kenan Magoda have launched an initiative to find accommodation capacities," concluded in an interview with FENA the Director of the Sarajevo Historical Archives Ismeta Džigal-Berkovac.
