SARAJEVO, June 21 (FENA) - After the postponement of the session of the House of Representatives of the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which was announced for today in Sarajevo, the Democratic Front Caucus said at the press conference that this was done unnecessarily, due to the incompetent leadership of the FBiH Parliament.
The office of the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mirjana Marinković Lepić, announced earlier that the reason for the postponement of the session is that the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina did not assign replacement mandates to individual representatives elected to some of the positions in the executive power in the cantons.
Head of DF Caucus, Mahir Mešalić, believes that "the real reason for postponing the session is known, and it is because there was no majority for the election of Marin Vukoja to the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina".
"The session should not have been postponed because we have a couple of reform laws on the agenda, so it would probably be unanimously supported. However, the Troika and HDZ decided not to talk with the opposition about supporting the laws, even though we have witnessed that they do not have a parliamentary majority at the level of the Federation. We had other important agendas that we initiated, which are related to floods and natural disasters that occurred in the Tuzla and Una-Sana cantons. We witnessed that the FBiH Government punished the citizens of TC, without giving them any means to help, even though we saw from the media that the damage estimate is about 18 million KM. This government is punishing citizens for their inaction, and we believe that we should have had a session on all these important topics, to help people on the ground," said Mešalić.
He also said that they still don't know when the session will be scheduled and that it is another humiliation for the citizens and the representatives who came at the scheduled time today.
