SARAJEVO, July 19 (FENA) - The average monthly net salary per employee in Bosnia and Herzegovina for May amounted to 1,275 KM and was nominally higher by 2.7 percent and 2.9 percent higher in real terms compared to April this year.
Employees in the information and communications sector had the highest average net salaries of 1,844 KM in May, while in production and supply of electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning 1,824 KM, and in financial and insurance activities 1,797 KM, according to data from the BiH Statistics Agency.
Employees in construction had the lowest average net earnings, 942 KM, and employees in accommodation services, food preparation and serving, 835 KM.
The average monthly gross salary in BiH for May this year amounted to 1,967 KM, which shows a nominal growth of 2.9 percent and is 3.1 percent higher in real terms compared to April of this year.
