SARAJEVO, September 29 (FENA) - A group of journalism students from Denmark, led by journalist Mathias Oleander, visited today the editorial office of the Federal News Agency FENA in Sarajevo.
FENA's Deputy Editor-in-Chief Haris Dedović and Associate for International Cooperation and Marketing Aida Birno hosted the students and introduced them to the way of working in the Agency and emphasized the role of FENA in the media space of Bosnia and Herzegovina as an unbiased and objective source of correct and timely information.
They also emphasized the importance of cooperation with other news agencies across Europe and introduced them to FENA's participation in international projects and associations.
In addition to showing interest in the work of FENA, the students were very interested in the legal system of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the political situation and the European integration of BiH. They also expressed interest in FENA's membership in the European Association of News Agencies (EANA) and participation in the European Newsroom (ENR) project in Brussels, wanting to understand the context of the work of this respected news agency.
Mathias Oleander pointed out that it was interesting to visit this agency and see how all events in Bosnia and Herzegovina are "covered" since the political system is quite complicated.
He stressed that it can be challenging "because there are 14 governments in BiH".
This interaction between journalism students and FENA journalists contributed to the understanding of the journalism profession and the creation of connections between future journalists and experienced professionals.
