MOSTAR, November 7 (FENA) – Siniša Kovačić, Director of the Croatian News Agency (HINA), visited the Federal News Agency (FENA) in Mostar on Friday, where he met with FENA Director Elvir Hadžiahmetović and Deputy Director Ilija Musa.
During the meeting, discussions focused on media practices, challenges of journalism in the digital age, and the possibilities for regional cooperation between news agencies.
On this occasion, the continuation of the longstanding cooperation between the two agencies was agreed upon, as well as joint participation in future projects.
The HINA Director and his hosts toured the FENA newsroom in Mostar, where they spoke with editors and journalists about professional challenges, exchange of experiences, and the improvement of multimedia content.
FENA Deputy Director Ilija Musa emphasized that professional responsibility and shared values, based on truthful, objective, and timely reporting, form the link between HINA and FENA’s work.
''Today’s meeting continues the long-standing collaboration between the two agencies, enhancing professional dialogue and friendly relations,'' Musa said.
HINA Director Siniša Kovačić highlighted that the goal is to further strengthen existing cooperation through more active exchange of content, topics, and experiences, as well as through joint activities within international associations of which both agencies are members.
''Today’s meeting shows a clear mutual interest in strengthening the partnership, particularly through project activities and promoting positive practices in the media space,'' Kovačić stated.
FENA Director Elvir Hadžiahmetović added that in the coming period, the two agencies will work together on improving multimedia platforms and organizing training for journalists.
''We are confident that this cooperation will result in better-informed public and further professional development of our newsrooms,'' Hadžiahmetović concluded.
