TIRANA, November 21 (FENA) – Chairwoman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Borjana Krišto, told FENA that it was confirmed at the summit in Tirana that the European Commission has adopted the Reform Agenda for BiH. Krišto said that an official confirmation to the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina will follow next Wednesday.

At the Summit of regional and EU leaders held in Tirana, Krišto, together with EU Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos and other senior EU officials, discussed new initiatives aimed at strengthening regional cooperation and economic integration.

She stated that after the confirmation of the Reform Agenda, the next steps include appointing a coordinator and ratifying two agreements – the Ratification Agreement and the Loan Agreement.

''It was said at the summit that they expect the ratification of both agreements so that, together with other countries in the region, we can move forward in step with the implementation of this important project,'' Krišto said.

Four new initiatives within the Growth Plan were also presented, including a roaming roadmap, cooperation mechanisms between regional countries and the EU to reduce costs and improve services, as well as initiatives related to an artificial intelligence factory and industrial dialogue.

''All these topics contribute to the overall growth and development of EU member states,'' Krišto emphasized.

She also recalled the process of BiH’s accession to SEPA, noting that four countries in the region have already completed that process and felt its benefits.

''This year we are in the phase of submitting a pre-application, and next year we could submit the official application,'' Krišto said.

The issue of professional drivers within the context of green corridors, previously discussed in Skopje, was also reopened at the summit.

''There is political will, and we hope it will be resolved soon,'' she added.

Krišto also briefed EU officials on the political situation in BiH, stressing that the country is in a phase of political consolidation and institutional strengthening.

''It is good that the budget of BiH institutions and international obligations for 2025 has been adopted, as this is of great importance for the reform processes,'' she said.

Speaking about BiH's EU path, Krišto highlighted the importance of adopting two laws and appointing the chief negotiator.
