Pettigrew: RS authorities' initiative represents an attempt to legitimize genocide denial

SARAJEVO, April 22 (FENA) – The announcement by the Government of Republika Srpska that it will initiate the repeal of provisions of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina that criminalize genocide denial and the glorification of war criminals represents an intention to legitimize such denial and glorification as official policy in Republika Srpska, David Pettigrew, professor of philosophy and Holocaust and genocide studies at Southern Connecticut State University and member of the Advisory Board of the Genocide Studies Program at Yale University, told FENA.
