PRIJEDOR, May 31 (FENA) – White Armband Day was marked in Prijedor today, commemorating May 31, 1992, when the authorities at the time ordered the non-Serb population to mark their homes with white flags or sheets and to wear white armbands while moving through the city. The central commemoration was held with messages of remembrance for more than 3,000 murdered citizens of Prijedor, including 102 children, alongside renewed calls for the construction of a memorial to the youngest victims of the war.
