BiH still searching for 7,588 missing persons, new technologies offer hope

SARAJEVO, August 28 (FENA) – More than three decades after the war, Bosnia and Herzegovina is still searching for 7,588 missing persons, while the Missing Persons Institute of Bosnia and Herzegovina (MPI BiH) is stressing the need to introduce modern technologies such as ground-penetrating radar and drones, as well as search dogs and artificial intelligence to speed up the process of locating the missing and searching through extensive documentation.
