SARAJEVO, February 11 (FENA) - Prime Minister of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina Fadil Novalić said that the draft law on the control and limited use of tobacco, and tobacco products aims to limit and suppress smoking habits and to promote anti-smoking, supported by the World Health Organization.
Novalić talked about this topic at a session of the members of the Hotels and Restaurants Association in BiH in cooperation with the representatives of the FBiH trade association and the FBiH Chamber of Commerce on the Draft Law on Control and Restricted Use of Tobacco, Tobacco Products held in Sarajevo.
However, Novalić pointed out that enabling the use of tobacco products at the same time enables development of other types of economy, such as the catering sector.
He emphasized that the Ministry of Health of the Federation of BiH took part in the drafting of the law, that it went through a public debate and that he expects the opinions to be harmonized in the parliamentary procedure.
"The draft law has creates controversies and affects the growing branch, which is catering and we should be sensitive with the adoption of this law," he said.
Novalić emphasized that the law is not a reform one, which does not mean that it produces less attention, but that it is obvious that it affects a lot of the segments of society.
