SARAJEVO, May 9 (FENA) - A manifestation titled "They Were Only Children" was held today at the Memorial Site for the Murdered Children of Besieged Sarajevo 1992-1995 and on the occasion of remembrance of the murdered children of Sarajevo and the Victory over Fascism Day.
President of the Association of Parents of Murdered Children of Besieged Sarajevo 1992-1995 Fikret Grabovica says that two decades have gone, but the pain has not passed.
One might even say that it is getting worse because, as he pointed out, the crime of murdering the innocent and the brutality of the way it was done is becoming increasingly more obvious.
He said that fascism was an evil that brings unforeseen consequences.
He stated that events all over the world, even in the countries of wellbeing in which refugees are coming, send discouraging messages and images of despair.
He called for a decisive raising of voice against fascism, racism, nationalism, terrorism, and every insanity whose goal is taking up arms.
