A man who was transporting 22 illegal migrants arrested in Mrkonjić Grad

MRKONJIĆ GRAD, May 6 (FENA) - The police in Mrkonjić Grad have arrested the person with initials A.G. from Sarajevo on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of smuggling migrants.

The said suspect was transporting twenty-two illegal migrants from Pakistan in a Citroen Berlingo and was discovered during a check on the Jezero-Mrkonjić Grad road, the police said today.

The Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina has ordered the suspect to be released after the criminal investigation has been completed and a report on the criminal offense of smuggling of persons has been filed against him.

An inspector of the Service for Foreigners' Affairs has been informed on the case and he has ordered illegal migrants to be sent to the migrant center in Bihać.
