FBiH - Slight increase in exports and imports in May

SARAJEVO, June 22 (FENA) - The Federation of BiH has realized exports worth 470.624.000 KM in May this year, which is 1.3 percent more than in April 2020 but 32.1 percent less than in May 2019.

In May 2020, imports amounted to 797.987.000 KM, which is 2.2 percent more than in April 2020, or 39.6 percent less than in May 2019.

In the period January-May 2020, exports decreased by an average of 2.8 percent each month, and imports by 5.8 percent.

The import-export ratio in May was 59 percent, which is 0.5 percent less than in April 2020, when it was 59.5 percent.

According to the data of the FBiH Bureau of Statistics, the trade deficit of the Federation of BiH for May 2020 amounts to 327.363.000 KM.

In May, most goods were exported from FBiH to Germany, followed by Croatia and Austria, and most goods were imported from Italy, Germany and Croatia.
