SARAJEVO, February 16 (FENA) - FBiH Minister of Agriculture, Water Management and Forestry Šemsudin Dedić and cantonal ministers of agriculture held a meeting today at the headquarters of the Government of the Federation of BiH at which they concluded that the FBiH budget needs to be urgently adopted, as well as harmonized financial support measures to help farmers in a timely manner.
“Agricultural production must be supported more from all levels of government and support measures more harmonized. I am glad that today's meeting was an opportunity to confirm that. This year we have higher budgets to support agricultural production. The total support from all levels of government this year will exceed 156 million KM, and today the individual ministers pointed out how much money is planned in certain budgets of the canton,” said Minister Dedić for FENA.
The ministers expressed the common position that due to time-limited deadlines in agriculture, it is necessary to adopt the FBiH budget as soon as possible, especially with regard to spring sowing.
The ministers also analyzed the situation in agriculture in the previous year, and it was stated that the FBiH and cantonal ministries implemented their programs of support measures last year and that there are no backlogs and debts.
