BLAGAJ, May 8 (FENA) - At the First Gastronomy and Tourism Fair "Taste Herzegovina", which was held this weekend in Blagaj, 23 exhibitors from BiH presented their products and exchanged experiences to establish future cooperation.
In addition to the exhibition part, the fair was an opportunity to hold panel discussions on food safety, creating destination marketing and tourism, and the Tourist Board of the Sarajevo Canton also participated.
"In the panel discussion, which was held on the first day of the fair, which was attended by representatives of tourist boards, including the Tourist Board of the Sarajevo Canton, opinions were exchanged on marketing and sales in tourism and gastronomy. They also discussed joint projects that would include these two cities, Mostar and Sarajevo, and what to focus on in order to attract domestic and foreign tourists," said in an interview with FENA Adisa Kusundžija on behalf of the Sarajevo Canton Tourist Board.
According to her, the cooperation of tourist boards in the FBiH, i.e. BiH, is extremely important because, in essence, one tourist board cannot contribute much at the European or world level without the others.
As she says, the Tourist Board of the Sarajevo Canton has been working on this in recent years because they believe that together with other communities they can present a better tourist offer of BiH.
Tajma Tanović-Smajović, director of Mama Media, which is the organizer of the Fair, said that the main goal was to create new partnerships and provide an opportunity for domestic producers, especially small ones, to show what is produced in Herzegovina and beyond.
According to her, a total of 23 exhibitors were presented at the fair, which is being held at the Ada Hotel, and for some of them this is their first public presentation. More than 300 visitors visited the Fair, which is great considering the destination of the fair.
