MOSTAR, 19 May (FENA) - At the opening ceremony of the Mediterranean Fruit Day in Blagaj, the Prime Minister of the Federation of BiH, Fadil Novalić, addressed the guests and participants, saying that the Government gives exceptional support to this project.
"Blagaj was probably named after this treasure that we are exhibiting today. This region is known for the cultivation of Mediterranean fruits, and especially for cherries and hardworking people. It is extremely important for all our citizens to invest and support domestic production, especially food production," said Prime Minister Novalić.
He emphasized that the Government has decided to support domestic producers, including this event, especially in these extremely difficult times.
Mediterranean Fruit Day is an event held within the project "Improvement of cherry production in Herzegovina", with the aim of promoting the new brand "The Herzegovina Cherry".
The goal is to promote domestic Mediterranean fruits and a new brand and point out the development potentials that enable the cultivation of Mediterranean fruits in Herzegovina.
