The 28th Sarajevo Film Festival closes with the Heart of Sarajevo Awards

SARAJEVO, August 21 (FENA) – With presenting of the Heart of Sarajevo Awards to the best authors and achievements at a ceremony in the National Theater, this year's 28th edition of the Sarajevo Film Festival, held for the first time at full capacity after the pandemic period, closed on Friday evening.  

The Heart of Sarajevo Award for the best feature film went to the film "Safe Place" directed by Juraj Lerotić, who also won the award for the best actor at the 28th SFF.

The Heart of Sarajevo Award for the best director went to Mryina Er Gorbach for the film "Klondike", and the award for the best actress to Vicky Krieps for the film "Corsage".

The Heart of Sarajevo Award for the best documentary film went to "Museum of the Revolution" directed by Srđan Keč, and the award for the best short documentary film went to "We... composition" by Visar Jusufi.

The Human Rights Award was presented to the Croatian film "Bigger than Trauma" by Vedrana Pribačić. The Heart of Sarajevo Award for the best student film went to the film "It's not Cold for Mosquitoes" directed by Josip Lukić and Klara Šovagović.

A total of 51 films competed for the Heart of Sarajevo awards at the 28th Sarajevo Film Festival. The Festival’s four competition sections – for feature, documentary, short and student film – will feature 21 world, 7 international, 1 European, 21 regional and 1 B&H premiere.
