MOSTAR, May 2 (FENA) - Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabić spoke on Tuesday at the International Economic Fair in Mostar about the importance of economic cooperation in the region and invited all BiH officials to consider joining the Open Balkans initiative.
She said that the countries of the region should develop a peaceful, stable and prosperous Balkans for all their citizens and businessmen.
- Our entire delegation shows the importance we attach to the International Business Fair in Mostar, but also to our relations with BiH and the entire region in general, considering that on Sunday, 48 hours ago, I was in Zagreb and had good, concrete and constructive talks with Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković. I hope that in the coming weeks and months we will continue to develop a peaceful, stable and prosperous Balkans for all our citizens and businessmen - asserted Brnabić.
She mentioned that in the last 10 years the bilateral exchange between BiH and Serbia has doubled, and also that BiH is Serbia's second export partner, while Serbia is Bosnia and Herzegovina's third export partner.
- When you look at those three parameters, it is completely clear to you, not only how much we depend on each other and how important we are to each other, but also how much potential our citizens do not see, so it seems that some other country is more economically important for us. - added the Serbian Prime Minister.
She expressed her belief that these data will be even better next year.
In the end, she invited everyone from Bosnia and Herzegovina to consider joining the Open Balkans initiative, because, as she says, it has practically nothing to do with politics, except that it will reduce the tension at the moment.
- We would benefit from greater involvement of BiH and certainly Montenegro, and this initiative speaks of mutual opening of borders, completely free flow of people, goods, services and capital - concluded Brnabić.
