MOSTAR, May 2 (FENA) - The Mostar International Business Fair is the most significant event in the region, it is a symbol of our common commitment to the development of the economy of Bosnia and Herzegovina, but also of the entire region, and an event that knows no borders and is constantly growing, said the chairwoman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Borjana Krišto at the opening.
- The Mostar fair is a symbol of our common commitment to the development of the economy of BiH, but also of the entire region. With its long-standing tradition of existence, it has grown into a meeting place for all key participants in the economy of our homeland, the neighborhood, but also much wider, as evidenced by the increasingly frequent partnerships with international corporations and countries - said Krišto.
She added that this year's fair, in terms of interest and the number of registered exhibitors, is not only a local event, but an event that knows no borders and is constantly growing.
- The fair is also a mirror of the development of our entrepreneurship, especially family entrepreneurship, women's and youth entrepreneurship, which is crucial for the development of any economy through new employment, innovation and increased competitiveness. Mostar and Herzegovina, as well as other regions in BiH, have long been places for investment opportunities where people stand out for their diligence and innovative spirit, and it makes me happy that our country stands out and becomes a center for holding recognizable and multi-useful business gatherings and state conferences - she said Krišto.
She stated that representatives of government institutions, creatives, visionaries and professionals will meet in Mostar today and in these days, thus creating a long-term basis for trust and cooperation.
- Use this place to create new bridges and business opportunities. This year, the Mostar fair, for the 24th time in a row, opened its doors to numerous domestic and foreign companies from the region, Europe and the world and provided the opportunity to promote themselves, acquire new skills, learn about new trends and technologies, and establish new business and friendships. contacts. It also provided an opportunity to all those who want to expand their business to new markets or connect with other strategic partners - said Kristo.
She pointed out that dynamic and fruitful economic cooperation is the key to economic growth and development of both BiH and the region.
- This is especially important in today's time when the world, the region, and Bosnia and Herzegovina are facing various crises, resulting in strong inflationary pressures and rising prices of energy, food, and raw materials. All these facts require the unique engagement of all actors in the market in order to contribute to mitigating the negative consequences of the crisis and create a more favorable business climate - she added.
According to her, Mostar is today the best stage for innovations and product launches, creating new business opportunities and increasing visibility through the exchange of knowledge and experience.
- It is a positive signal to domestic and foreign investors to invest in Bosnia and Herzegovina. In this way, we create sustainable jobs, which would certainly ultimately have a positive effect on demography, economic growth, and overall socio-economic development - Krišto pointed out.
She also referred to this year's partner country of the Fair, Israel, noting that it is one of the most advanced countries in the world in terms of innovation, technology and science.
- The economic growth of this country in recent years is incredible and this is an exceptional opportunity to learn from them. As one of the goals of the Mostar Fair is to establish new business connections and encourage the exchange of ideas and experiences, I believe that after the fruitful partnerships we had with the Republic of Croatia, the Republic of Serbia, Hungary, and the People's Republic of China, the partnership with the State of Israel is also an exceptional opportunity that will connect our two countries and contribute to the strengthening of economic cooperation - said Krišto.
She is convinced that the future cooperation between BiH and Israel will bring benefits for both countries.
- This fair is a step in the best direction and shows in the best way that we are ready to work together on development. I believe that this friendship will also open new doors of cooperation and create new opportunities for mutual prosperity.
Today, more than 700 exhibitors from 30 countries are present at the fair's exhibition area, and among them are some of the strongest companies from Israel. The fair will last for five days, until May 6, and numerous expert meetings, round tables and other significant events will be organized there, among other things.
The organizers pointed out that an additional step forward was made compared to previous years, and that the International Business Fair Mostar 2023 is a great opportunity to meet businessmen, all with the aim of investing as much as possible in the future in BiH.
