SARAJEVO, May 18 (FENA) - Rais-l-ulama of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina Husein Kavazović officially opened the third International Halal Industry Fair (Sarajevo Halal Fair - SHF) today.
Pointing out the importance of the fair, not only from an economic point of view, but also from a religious point of view, Kavazović added that the first association of halal refers to food, but that the word includes much more, practically all spheres of human activities and actions.
"Man's well-being is in halal and he/she should not cross its limits. There is enough space to satisfy all his/her needs within halal," stated Kavazović.
He reminded that the Islamic Community established the Agency for Halal Quality Certification in 2006, adding that the goal is to ensure that the principles of work and action are respected, which they do by constant supervision and monitoring of all business processes, but also by educating the employed staff about halal.
"Everything that has the seal of the Agency for Halal Quality Certification is reliable both in terms of its composition and quality, and Muslim believers, as well as others who adhere to it, can consume it without any reservations," Kavazović added, and emphasized that the Agency strongly positioned in the region, but also in the world.
He expressed the hope that the halal industry will only strengthen and expand its influence in the coming period. He called on our entrepreneurs and business entities to pay attention to this industry, to invest in production jointly because, as he emphasized, joint efforts always give better results.
