SARAJEVO, July 12 (FENA) - On the occasion of the 28th anniversary of the genocide in Srebrenica, Minister of the Government of Canada Ahmed Hussen issued a statement on behalf of the Canadian Government stating that on Srebrenica Memorial Day we remember the victims and families whose lives were affected by the terrible genocide which was committed in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Minister Hussen added that the Government of Canada "will continue to do everything in its power to ensure that crimes like these never happen again," the Institute for Research of Genocide Canada announced.
The Institute stated that Minister Hussen is a great advocate for justice and a friend of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
In the last couple of years, he was also involved in events organized by the Institute for Research of Genocide Canada to commemorate the genocide in Srebrenica, where he openly condemned genocide deniers.
