SARAJEVO, July 14 (FENA) - The Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina held a plenary session where, among other things, following the provisions of the Rules of Court, Zlatko M. Knežević was relieved of his duties as judge/vice president of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina before the end of the term for which he was elected, at his request from June 29, and due to his retirement on January 2, 2024.
At the same time, the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina rejected to discuss the proposal of Vice President Zlatko M. Knežević to annul the Decision of this court from June 19 on the amendment of the Rules of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which deleted the provision of Article 39 of the Rules.
Also, at the session, the Constitutional Court adopted the Report on the execution of the decisions of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina and resolved certain administrative issues.
From the decisions made at the plenary session, the Constitutional Court singled out the decision in case U-15/20, in which the proceedings were suspended because the applicant Borjana Krišto, the Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina at the time the application was submitted, abandoned the application.
In the letter dated July 6, in which she requested the withdrawal of the request, the applicant stated that the Ministry of Justice of BiH had prepared a Bill on the Courts of BiH, which should be considered at one of the next sessions of the Council of Ministers of BiH.
