SARAJEVO, February 22 (FENA) – According to sociologist Vladimir Vasić, the protests that have been ongoing in Sarajevo for days, mainly initiated by young people following the tragic tram accident on February 12 in which a 23-year-old student lost his life and a 17-year-old schoolgirl was seriously injured, represent an expected reaction to deeply accumulated discontent in society. As he told FENA, although the protests were initially a reactive response to the tragedy, the fact that demands are increasingly expanding and taking on a broader social dimension indicates much deeper underlying problems.
