Zenica steelworks calls for safeguard measures to protect domestic industry and jobs

ZENICA, March 22 (FENA) – Co-owner and Managing Director of Nova Željezara Zenica (New Steelworks Zenica) Ahmed Hamzić, on behalf of the company’s management, has appealed to the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina to introduce temporary safeguard measures on the import of steel and steel products into BiH, which, he said, would preserve the country’s industry, railways, more than 500 related companies, and directly and indirectly over 11,000 jobs.
